Rodney acted in a new film, Cost of a Soul (out in 2010), a gritty tale of two veterans who return home from Iraq to the war-zone of their own slum neighborhood in North Philly. Writer and Director Sean Kirkpatrick enlisted Rodney to play the wise old bass player in a jazz band. It's a speaking role! (Well, one line). Rodney is also a consultant on the film and composed its original soundtrack. The score consist of some way out jazz. Rodney enlisted Jay Davidson (sax) and Don Liuzzi (drums). Sun Ra would be proud.
